Limber Pine on the Edge

This may be the oldest or one of the oldest trees in Alberta. At over 1100 years it may be in danger from the Pine Beetle. The area has been invaded and may be burned to try and control the spread of the beetle. The Whirlpool area near Abraham Lake is one of the most spectacular areas of Limber Pine and I will be sad to see it disappear.
