From Laura: The single butterfly feeding on nectar is the Spotted Zebra (Graphium megarus, Swallowtail family). This is a recent addition to the farmed species at BBC.

From Laura: The two orange butterflies with white and black tips are the Leopard Lacewing (Cethosia cyane - family Nymphalidae). These are very pretty and relatively easy to breed and so we receive a fair number from the farmers.

From Laura: The lovely fat white larva is the Atlas moth (Attacus atlas) - a Saturniid moth native to SE Asia. (same family as the silk moth and in terms of wing surface area, the largest moth in the world). It feeds on a wide variety of food plants including citrus species, but we found our local Cambodian Atlas larvae did best feeding on cashew.

From Laura: The two green caterpillars/larvae are feeding on lime and are the Great Mormon, (Papilio memnon - Papilionidae or Swallowtail family). In this species there are many different female forms in the adult stage - we have observed 3 of these at BBC though one particular one is the most common.

From Laura: The black and white spotted butterflies feeding on the same flower head are the Lime Butterfly (Papilio demolius, Papilionidae/Swallowtail family). Males and females look alike in this species, unsurprisingly feeds on lime!
